Gravity Beneficiation Equipment

Gravity beneficiation equipment is the use of the specific gravity difference between different minerals and the use of gravity or centrifugal force to separate different minerals to achieve separation equipment collectively. Generally, it includes hydraulic classification box, mud hopper, shaker, spiral chute, jig, centrifugal separator, heavy medium cyclone and other beneficiation equipment.

Gravity separation equipment can be broadly divided into four categories: shaker, chute beneficiation equipment, jig and heavy media beneficiation equipment. In the past 20 years, these mineral processing equipment in the rapid development in our country, there have been many new equipment, such as the new spiral mineral processing machine, moving sieve jig, centrifugal jig and so on, has reached or close to the world advanced level, play an important role in mineral processing industry.

Basic selection principles. Gravity separation equipment is based on the density difference between useful minerals and gangue minerals to select other equipment, so the density difference of different minerals is the main factor affecting the separation index, at the same time, the particle size, shape and medium properties of the ore has an impact on the separation index. And different gravity separation equipment can obtain different product quality. So in the selection of gravity separation equipment, we should not only take into account the nature of the material, but also pay attention to the requirements of product quality.

  • Gravity separation is suitable for treating ores or other raw materials with a large density difference between useful minerals and gangue. It is an effective method for treating coarse-grained, medium-grained and fine-grained ores (approximate limits are greater than 25 mm, 25″2 mm, 2~O.1 mm). In the treatment of fine slime (less than 0.1 mm) efficiency is not high, modern flow film beneficiation equipment can effectively recover the particle size to 20-30 microns, centrifugal separator can be to 10 microns.
